Sister Seekers Gathering is being held in a space in McGrath, MN surrounded by state forests, about 1.5 hours from Minneapolis. The space was originally created by sisters who had a vision of a place where people can spend time quieting their mind and opening their hearts and spirit. They decided to trust the thoughts that came to mind and to follow through with their vision. They settled upon 120 acres with a small log house, pole barn, and a wood burning sauna. The spirit of their vision and the sacredness of the land on which tribal dances and ceremonies continue to take place, is why we chose this land for the home of the first annual Sister Seekers Gathering.
The gathering will be secluded in the heart of the Solana State Forest. While we intend to use this gathering to connect with self and sisters, we hope to also heal our connection to the Earth and sleep on the ground and in tents. However, we will have accommodations in year round dwellings for those who desire more support in their stay. These dwellings will first be offered to the crones attending, next to those traveling from greater distances. We also encourage the use of teepees and other structures that you are called to bring to this sacred space.
Sisters will be surrounded by hundreds of acres of private woods with grounds including a wood burning sauna, 5 miles of groomed trails, a rose garden, a labyrinth, a beaver pond, a frog and turtle pond, tree swings and hammock, outdoor fire pits, indoor fireplaces, nature trails, and animals.
This space is for you to explore Self, others, and nature. Allow the spirit of the surrounding foliage to envelope you and guide you on your journey of seeking.
